ROTH BART BARON is an indie rock band based in Tokyo, Japan.

Influenced by modern rock and folk music, ROTH BART BARON’s beautiful melody and attractive musical arrangement leaves strong impression along with their philosophical depth lyrics in Japanese.

1st AL “The Ice Age” (2014) was recorded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, co-produced by Brian McTear (Kurt Vile, the War on Drugs) and mixed by Jonathan Low (The National, Sufjan Stevens). 2nd AL “ATOM” (2015) was recorded at “Hotel2tango”, the God Speed You! Black Emperor's studio in Montreal, Canada. EP “dying for” (2017) was recorded in London, UK with Bradley Spence (Alt-J, Kasabian) and Alexander Beitzke (James Arthur, Florence + the Machine).

In 2018, 3rd AL “HEX” became their first self-produced released in Japan. Engineered by Chicago’s Grammy Award winning engineer L10 Mixed-It (Chance the Rapper, Noname), mastered by Chris Athens at TX studio, Austin Texas. The positive reviews soon proved to be selected as one of the best albums of the year in numerous music media.

Their enthusiastic success lead the band to performed in larger scale music festivals including “SUMMER SONIC”, “FUJI ROCK Festival” in Japan. And crossing the borders, held "US-Tour 2014” & ”ASIA TOUR 2016” including ”Big Mountain Music Festival '15" in Thailand, and "PLAYTIME FESTIVAL ’16" in Mongolia. Also as a solo, the vocal guitarist, Masaya Mifune, was chosen to perform at the Tokyo show of a “Celebration David Bowie 2017” world tour in February 2017, left great remarks.
